Between the weekend and Tuesday, we had about a foot of snow on the ground here...
We now have two. It's still coming down, and the front is still a long ways away. Pullman is perfectly situated to get a lot of snow, and the weather conditions are perfect today - cold air comes down from Canada across the very east edge of the Columbia basin, moist air comes in from the pacific up the Columbia river gorge, rises into the cold Canadian air right over our heads, gains extra altitude as the land rises, and *bam*, instant snowstorm.
I'm very glad they canceled classes today.
