So those of you not in Adam Lambert fandom won't know this, but Adam just affiliated with a new charity, and in the spirit of Adam made his first project a challenge: instead of sending him birthday gifts (because fans love to send him stuff), could we donate $29000 to charity:water before his 29th birthday on January 29? He donated to start us on our way (may or may not have been on his page--rumour has it his is the anonymous donor who basically said "on behalf of the entire fandom and Twitter," but we don't actually know), and the madness began.
As usual, Adam seriously underestimated fandom (we did it in about 8 hours), so after a bit of flailing and disbelief he upped the goal. So far, so good--we've almost doubled the original target in less than 24 hours!
Just one problem: a lot of us are Glambroke.

I am opening up my obscenely large collection of deejay music and offering a Suggested Listening Playlist of 20 songs by artists you may enjoy if you like Adam. This list will not include Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Cheeks, Cassidy, Goldfrapp, Sia, Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, or Bowie, simply because I'm going to assume that if you're in fandom, you've seen them pimped around enough without my help. (If you haven't, you should go check them out. Also, I may throw in a Gaga remix as a bonus, because I hunt down all kinds of weird stuff in my search for danceable stuff.)
I can't promise you'll like everything, but it will be a "sampler" of some of what's out there that you may enjoy, new and old, if Adam is the tea in your particular cup.
This Will Include:
--20 songs by 15-20 artists, in mp3 format
--a .doc (MS Word 97-2003/2007-10 compatible) document listing song titles, artists, and albums; if I take the song from a Greatest Hits or compilation album, I will note this and track down the name of the original album
The mp3s and list will both be in a .rar (zipped/compressed) file available on my MediaFire account. This file will be password-protected (I'll e-mail or PM the password to you after you donate) and password given out only to those who have donated for the song package.
I'm going to ask for $5 donations for this, but obvs. as Adam likes to say: MORE IS MORE!
Spread the word! charity:water provides clean drinking water to those in developing countries who have none, or don't have the means to get it easily. This is a gift that will help many people for many, many years.
