(no subject)
so um.... i just saw a commercial on tv about how much it costs for funeral expenses. let it be known right now that if i were struck dead tomorrow i would want to be direct-cremated and my ashes kept in tupperware or ziploc until they are dumped into the local landfill or other such free or close-to-free disposal area. if this cannot be arranged i would like to be direct-buried in an unmarked grave without a casket in a public cemetary.
as for a funeral or some-such. direct-cremation/direct-burial means no embalming and no viewing of my body. my body is NOT to be viewed by my family and friends without my soul attached to it. i dont want a funeral, instead let there be a party. everyone on earth is invited, whether you love me or hate me. by the way...this will be a BYOB occasion but feel free to bring extra booze to share if you want, with my family and friends i'm sure none of the booze will go to waste. if you're into herbs...smoke them. if you're into acid...drop some. shrooms....fine. the only drugs i dont want at my party are meth, coke, and heroin. i've seen those drugs do horrible things to good people. anyone who has anything to say about me....good stuff.....bad stuff....whatever, let them speak. i wasnt a saint, nor a devil, i picture myself as something between. it would do my memory a great dishonor to just talk about the good things so be honest.
if you feel so inclined to put some kind of memorial up somewhere plant a tree or build a bench or something. gaudy statues and tombstones do no good for anyone, at least a tree provides shade and a bench gives people a place to sit for a few minutes. even if they dont know what the tree or bench is there for at least i'm doing some good after death.
anyhow, this was the best place i could think of to post this. there's only a couple of you that read this, so um....if i wind up dead before you guys....show this post to whoever's responsible for taking care of all this crap.
