Unusual observation in my fish tank

I've got some American Glass Shrimp. One of them berried (meaning has eggs in the aquarium/reef world) and was carrying the eggs around for a while. Now, it appears as if the known female in the tank has given the eggs to the male. This is undocumented as far as I know, and I know the differences between my female and male shrimp - especially since the female has an unmistakable marking.

I am wondering if I am witnessing something that hasn't been noted before. All of my google-fu has brought up nothing, however.
