Off to Tokyo Game Show!!!
Well ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow I head to the airport and take a magical trip to Japan! What? You say you've heard this all before from me (and then never heard the conclusion because I'm too lazy to type up my blog from last year's trip)? Well, yes, but this time I get to go to the Tokyo Game Show. TOKYO GAME SHOW!!!
Plus it's only a week, so I should have less trouble typing up my adventures this time. I make no promises though. ^.^
Sunday 9/20 - leave for Tokyo in the afternoon (well, noon)
Monday 9/21 - arrive in Tokyo in the afternoon (boo for crazy time zone changes), get to hotel. Then get ready for a Kotaku Reader party in Shibuya! I will be so wasted from jetlag, but how could I pass up a Kotaku party?!
Tuesday 9/22 - Half-day morning tour. Starts at 7:30am (eeeeew), but it covers the imperial palace (just the bridge), diet building, some of Roppongi Hills, and Asakusa (Asakusa is where I ate at Denny's last year). ^_^ Since this is only a half-day thing, I'll probably go shopping in Ikebukuro or something after, depending on how tired I am.
Wednesday 9/23 - Tokyo shopping tour. An all day tour that takes us to Akihabara, Harajuku, and ends at Shibuya. Yes, I have been to all those places before, but hell, I'm more than happy to go again!!!
Thursday 9/24 - Half-day tour going to Camelot game studios and visiting a former Famitsu writer. Camelot brought us such great games as Shining Force and Golden Sun (plus, like, Mario Golf, but I don't care about that one!)! Shining Force II got me into RPGs! This is so epic!!!!! It's only a half-day tour, so I was thinking I might go back to Nakano and visit my old hang-out spot afterwards
Friday 9/25 - Self tour of Odaiba! It's a free day on the tour, so I wanted to go somewhere I hadn't been before. I plan to walk across the Rainbow Bridge and just have fun wandering around. Sadly, the giant Gundam isn't there anymore. :-(
Saturday 9/26 - Tokyo Game Show!! Oh yeah, this is where the money is! So excited!
Sunday 9/27 - Tokyo Game Show part 2!! Technically another free day on the tour, but I asked for another ticket to the show and they delivered! Sweetness in a hot crispy crust! ^_^
Monday 9/28 - Return to USA. This is the fun time machine trip where I leave at 4pm and get back to the US 2pm the same day. Woo! But Boo at leaving Japan. T.T
So, I shall talk to you all next week (and maybe an entry or two while in Tokyo)! Sayonara!
