An Asus eee PC 901 - avg price $280
http://eeepc.asus.com/global/product901.html?n=0 This would be ideal for taking to a cafe or just anywhere. I could type my little heart out on a cute tiny computer (I'd be getting the Sakura Red version, of course) and surf the internet on it too. I love laptops and I love tiny technology. Plus this is the cheapest of my "list of things to buy".
A New iMac 24" - avg price $1500
http://www.apple.com/imac/design.html If you know me, you know I am an Apple fanatic. And I really need a new computer (the one I'm using now is stuck on OSX 10.3.9, so I can't even upgrade my internet browsers or anything! And I'd rather buy a new one as opposed to spending more money on this one to make it still not top of the line). Plus I've never owned a desktop of my own. And, and, it's ever so pretty! Plus the screen is HUGE!
An iPhone - avg price $200-500, avg monthly price $90-100
http://www.apple.com/iphone/ Our contracts are done on the family plan now, so I should probably look into getting myself a new phone. And I want an iphone. ^_^ Mobile internet and pretty shiny stuff! Sounds just about right to me! I'd only get the lowest minutes plan (I don't like talking on the phone much, I'm a texter), and add on unlimited texting. Still, when I only make $800-1000 a month, having my own cell phone plan takes a good chunk out of it, not to mention the initial cost of getting one. But it's so cooooool!
A New Car - avg price $A lot
Yeah, this one is a bit on the "do it later" side of the list, but it will eventually need to be done. I have a 10 year old Saturn now, and though it still runs mostly fine I could do with a new/used one. I'm looking at a Scion B (the old ones that look like a box, none of this rounded corners shit) ideally. But do I want to really take on car payments now?
An Apartment - avg price $600-1000, plus utilities
I'm almost 25 and still living at home. While this is not exactly abnormal nowadays, I should probably look into moving out. My problem is that I want to live alone (I can't fully relax if I live with someone else who isn't immediate family, so I get very stressed living with people). Living alone in Chicagoland is expensive. Right now, moving out would basically take my entire monthly salary, which is not how it should work. So I think I need a better job, or a raise, before I really do this.
So, what do you guys think about all this? Any suggestions or places with lower prices on my items of want?
