Well the move is done; long live the move
Ok, the first part of the move is done. The stuff is now in the house and things are being unpacked. Log of the last few days:
00:00 Thursday - go to work
16:00 Thursday - get off work (die die die late server delivery truck)
18:30 Thursday - sleep
00:00 Friday - go to work
10:00 Friday - get off work, go to doctor (in general fine, cholesterol still fucked up, big shock)
12:30 Friday - ge home, intend to pack, fall over instead
22:45 Friday - wake up for work
10:30 Saturday - get off work, go home, start packing like mad with my sister, Red, Vulpine and the Beanie
12:30 Saturday - movers show up, they start loading, we keep packing
14:30 Saturday - at the house, movers unload, we unload cars. Pay movers their $300 clams... don't even care :)
16:30 Saturday - food and then back to apartment to pack up more stuff; not really being delicate.. we just want it out
20:00 Saturday - back at house, Paul and Jessi join us, unload cars v2.0, start processing boxes. Books and CDs unpacked, random crap boxes deferred
23:30 Saturday - folks take off, Katy crashes on blob. I read for a bit then passed out
10:30 Sunday - The alarm clock I cannot smash ("Katy") wakes me up... at least she got me Starbucks
12:44 Sunday - Desktop is setup. Ethernet cable is floor run for the moment. Eventually I'll put a distribution switch in the living room so I'll update the config then; More boxes to deal with. DVDs put up. Katy and I continuing to process boxes.
Much thinks to those who came over to help with this mess.
Upcoming plans... at some point a trip to get a new computer chair. Also this week is going to be focusing on cleaning the apartment, dealing with changing over various addresses and also working on a project for work after I get off in the morning.
For now, back to the move.
