I know, I hadn't heard it before. Love Drake's voice. I couldn't believe how much the song seemed to be written for Heath. Chilling, when you realize Drake died more than 30 years ago. I believe he was 26 when he died. Donna

THE ORIGINAL VERSION WAS MEANT TO REASSURE THE MEMBERS OF A MILITARY FAMILY THAT THEIR LOVED ONE WAS NOW SAFE AND THAT WHAT HE (OR SHE) DIED FOR WAS WELL WORTH HIS (OR HER) SACRIFICE. I didn't know that about the song. Thanks for sharing the info. The words are just gorgeous. It sorta made me feel the same way I felt the first time I heard Johnny Cash sing Nine Inch Nails "Hurt". It gave me goosebumps. Donna
