Tribute to Heath, who claimed he was obsessed with this artist

I apologize if someone has posted this before.  This is the guy Heath made a short film about.  God, the words seem written for Heath.  God bless you, Heath, I hope you are at peace.

I know, I hadn't heard it before. Love Drake's voice. I couldn't believe how much the song seemed to be written for Heath. Chilling, when you realize Drake died more than 30 years ago. I believe he was 26 when he died. Donna

NEVER HEARD THAT ONE. IT'S VERY NICE. THE ORIGINAL VERSION WAS MEANT TO REASSURE THE MEMBERS OF A MILITARY FAMILY THAT THEIR LOVED ONE WAS NOW SAFE AND THAT WHAT HE (OR SHE) DIED FOR WAS WELL WORTH HIS (OR HER) SACRIFICE. IT WAS USUALLY FOLLOWED BY 21 GUN SALUTE. HEATH WAS NOT GIVEN THESE THINGS, BUT THE VAST NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WHO SHOWED IN ONE FORM OR AN0THER THEIR RESPECT AND ADMIRATION FOR HIM MUST SERVE AS THE EQUIVALENT. HE WAS A GOOD SOLID ACTOR WHO NEVER SKIMPED ON HIS CRAFT. THAT IN IT'S SELF IS WORTHY OF OUR RESPECT! ENOUGH SAID

I didn't know that about the song. Thanks for sharing the info. The words are just gorgeous. It sorta made me feel the same way I felt the first time I heard Johnny Cash sing Nine Inch Nails "Hurt". It gave me goosebumps. Donna
