ahhh, my first shower in 5 days.... ::blissface::
so i'm exhausted, but i wanted to note, as tool-ish as it sounds: you should all listen to the last samurai soundtrack. i just found it -again- in my music library, and... wow. i keep forgetting about really great music because i get lost in the sheer amount =x
honestly, though, i'm firmly of the mind that today's form of classical musical expression (akin to the symphonic productions of yesteryear that would be considered a night out on the town), are more fully conveyed through movie soundtracks than anything else. i'm fullyyyy aware of how sacreligious that sounds, but take a moment to consider it. yes, music is still being written for music's sake, but more commissioned pieces are score to a film than anything else... and some of them are actually really incredible.
