I'mm working on job applications tonight. In my research statement I just misspelled the word "grammar" as "grammer". Ok, see, I am a linguist. I have been studying linguistics for the past twelve years. I have had plenty of practice during that time typing the word "grammar" correctly. That is not a word I should be misspelling at all at this point. Not only that, but I associate the "grammer" misspelling with "how is babby formed"-type internet ignorance. So imagine my horror when I saw my own fingers betray me and type "-er" by mistake. What is wrong with me? How could I do that?!
