And this is so lovely: “Can I…?” he began and Rose’s face grew more troubled and worried. Oh. Oh. “I just want to hold you,” he said in a rush. “If that’s all right.”

I feel like it would be so uncertain between them. And I like how you give them a chance to just talk for a while. Lovely work :D

Thanks. I think it would be doubly hard for them - it's not just that Ten II is all new, but they haven't seen each other in years, and barely got a chance to say two words to each other in the finale. Of course, they also just want to jump into bed with each other, so it's a fine balance. *G*
