Word Count: 993 words
Rating: PG
Summary: Aiba was unsure about his present for Sho, but went with it instead.
Disclaimer: So far I only own two photosets of Sho and a set of Arashi playing cards. I wish I'd own Arashi, but no. I don't. ._.
Author note: I actually realised it's been a while since I last wrote a Sakuraiba fic. But once I got this idea.. I decided Aiba suits this one the best. XD HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DARLING SHO~ \ O /
"Hello?" Sakurai Sho spoke into his phone as he awaited his fellow band members in the lounge some distance from their recording studio, "ah right, about tonight's News Zero.."
Outside the door just about ten metres away...
"Oi, Nino! Are you sure about this?"
"Maaa it should be alright. It looks just like him, ne?"
"Hah?" Jun exclaimed in surprise, "isn't that your boyfriend who looks like him?"
"No, he looks nothing like Oh-chan! Look at the tie and glasses on him!"
"Ano, you added the glasses and tie on him though," Aiba added.
"I even considered adding a suit for his News Zero look but I think this is enough," Nino said with a wide grin.
"I'm quite surprised that YOU came up with this idea of dressing it up though," Jun said with a smirk as he patted Nino on the back.
"I really have no idea about how this gift will go," Aiba said as he looked at the huge present in his hand, "it's suuuuuper cute but…on a 34-year-old man wouldn't it look odd?"
"It's very 'you' to choose this gift for him though," Ohno commented. Aiba could only sigh and bury his face into the present.
"Ah~ I really wonder if he'd like it."
"It's fine it's fine! Just walk in with it!" Nino urged with a whisper as he guided Aiba over to the door.
"No no no I'll look ridiculous!"
"Correction- you're looking ridiculous for the sake of your beloved's birthday," Jun teased and gave him a reassuring pat on the back. Without warning, Ohno reached for the door handle and pushed it open.

"Right.. thank you," Sho hung up on his phone and the door to the room swung open. He turned to see his boyfriend standing in the doorway, and his eyebrows arched in a mix of surprise and amusement.
"Erm.." Sho began but Aiba beat him to it by hurrying towards him and hiding his tomato-red face behind the fluffy present in his hand.
"H-happy Birthday, Sho-chan," Aiba's muffled voice came behind a 200cm brown teddy bear wearing a pair of spectacles and a tie. Sho giggled as he took the furry present from him and sat it on the sofa.
"Thank you, Masaki," he said gently and gave Aiba a hug, "but er…a teddy bear feels a bit childish for a 34-year-old ojisan.."
"I know!" Aiba mumbled with a slightly embarrassed pout, "but you have virtually every present I could come up with on the spot, so.. I chose that."
"Haha, it's okay," Sho said as he drew back and patted his boyfriend gently on the head, "I still like it anywa-"
"OI~ ARE YOU READY~"
Sho and Aiba sighed.
"Are-you-ready-san is calling us to the recording room," Sho said.
"I wonder what we should do later for your birthday," Aiba asked.
"Ehh…it'll have to be tomorrow. News Zero is today," Sho said and stretched, "I've barely gotten enough sleep last night too..."
"Ah…Sho-chan you're busy on your birthday, huh." Aiba said and Sho nodded.
"But it's okay. I got a really nice present today," Sho said and shuffled a step ahead of Aiba, casually linking their hands together until they entered the recording studio, where the other members were smirking at the loving pair.
*A very long few hours later*
"Yay, we're done~" Aiba cheered as he bounded out of the recording studio.
"Well, Sho-kun was done first, ne? For now we'll leave Jun to work out a bit of the recording parts with Oh-chan," Nino said, "I wonder what he's doing in the lounge now though."
"Probably reading his newspaper or something," Aiba said, "it's News Zero today after all."
"Ahh…pity. We'll have to hold his birthday dinner tomorrow, ne?"
Aiba nodded as he pushed the door open and walked in.
And there was Sakurai Sho in deep quiet slumber on one of the long sofas in the room. Cuddling softly above him on his chest was the huge teddy bear Aiba gave him. Its spectacles lay on the table beside the sleeping man, right on top of small stack of newspapers.
Nino grinned at the sight.
"How long more till Sho-kun has to leave?" he asked quietly.
"It's probably about an hour more."
"Maaa. Let's let him sleep a bit, ne?" Nino suggested, and Aiba looked over at the teddy bear.
"Somehow I'm wishing I'm the teddy bear instead," Aiba said.
"You can't be the teddy bear. You need to keep watch on the time to wake him."
"Let Teddy Bear-san watch the time with his spectacles then!"
"Haaaa…hopeless Aibaka," Nino mused as he shook his head and started to leave the room, "I'll check over here in an hour. He'd better be awake by then."
Aiba shuffled over to Sho, brushing strands of hair that lay messily over his eyes.
"... you took a long while," Sho murmured, and Aiba looked at him in surprise.
"Did we wake you up?"
"Not really," Sho said as he gently pushed the teddy bear away and tugged at Aiba's arm, making him fall over on top of him. He then wrapped his arms around Aiba and closed his eyes again.
"Ah~ This Masaki is cuddly too~" Sho mumbled with a grin.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I named the teddy bear after you," Sho murmured sleepily and relaxed his arms around him.
"Hah? Why?"
"I read somewhere," Sho answered with a slightly blushing face, "that if you name your teddy bear after the person who gave it to you, the two of you would always be happy together.
For the second time that day, Aiba's face turned red again. He looked over at Sho, only to find that his eyes were closed and he was breathing evenly in his sleep.
An hour later, Ohno, Jun and Nino opened the door to grab their bags and found Sho and Aiba asleep on the sofa, the giant teddy bear lying right on top of Aiba's back.
