It was Christmas Eve in Choco La Vie.
"Thank you for coming to Choco La Vie!" Michiyo greeted as she saw the last customer of the day walk out of the shop. She slumped on the counter, fanning herself before hi-fiving Sho and Aiba.
"Thank you for coming down to help us out," Sho said, "even though now you're no longer working here, it's good to have an extra pair of hands during these peak seasons."
"Well thank goodness I could come," Michiyo said, "I've missed working with you guys so much. And Aiba-san?"
She reached into her bag and handed him his present.
"Happy birthday~" she said. Aiba laughed and gave her a friendly hug.
"Thank you, Michiyo-chan! What is it?" he asked.
"I know that you and Sho-san take lots of pictures, so I've bought you a scrapbook that you two can use."
"Wow, that's really thoughtful," Sho said.
"Thanks so much for the present! I'll use it well!"Aiba said cheerily, then looked at Sho.
"Ne, what about your present for me, Sho-chan?"Aiba asked.
"Hmm... About your present..." Sho said with a grin, "I'll show you tonight later, ne?"
Michiyo turned away with a smirk. "When Sho-san makes that face, he probably is up to no good later. Ohohohoho~" she thought as she headed into the kitchen.
"How is it over at Ohno Group?" Jun asked, aware that a few months ago, Michiyo had been asked to try helping out the Accounting department of the conglomerate with their figures as a new financial accountant.
"I could scarcely believe it when I found out that Ohno-san's secretary is my boss," Michiyo said, "and guess what? SHE'S A SLAVE DRIVER."
"I think you've had plenty of experience to cope with that," Sho said, and Aiba giggled beside him as the trio gave Jun a knowing grin.
"I hope so," Michiyo laughed as she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She stepped aside, taking the call.
"Hello? Ah! Nino-san! It's been a while... now? Is it really alright? " Michiyo said, looking around for the time, "... alright. I'll see you and Takuya at the usual place."
"Your husband wants you out so soon?" Sho teased.
"Ehhh, not my husband, but our dear superstar who recently starred in a Hollywood film," Michiyo said.
"Two-timing Takuya-kun by dating a Hollywood actor!" Aiba gasped.
"Whatever will he say?" Sho played along, and before long the pair received a whack on the heads from the boss himself.
"That the Hollywood actor happens to be living together with the new managing director of Ohno Group?" Jun said,
"goodness, you two. You've always been up to such mischief."
"Well, I'll be going first! I'll say hi to Nino-san and Takuya for you guys!" Michiyo called as she left the shop. Just then, Jun's phone rang.
"Ah! Ohno-san! It's been a while. ... Eh? Now? We are just closing up... ah..." Jun then looked at Sho and Aiba, "these two idiots too? Okay. Alright. See you in ten minutes."
"What has Ohno-san said about us 'two idiots'?" Aiba asked excitedly.
"That he's inviting us three for dinner because he needs to seek help with something," Jun replied.

Michiyo entered the bar to see her husband sitting with Nino in the VIP room. Her eyes lit up as she walked in, catching Takuya's eyes across the crowded room. Takuya waved charmingly at her and stood up, giving her a hug and snuck a peck on her cheek as he did so.
"Good work today, dear," Takuya said.
"You too, darling," Michiyo said.
"Can you two save this for the hotel next to this bar?" an impatient voice spoke up between them. The happy couple looked to see Ninomiya Kazunari staring at them expectantly.
"Well? What did you call us out for?" Michiyo asked as she sat down with her husband.
"I need some advice," Nino said, "because Christmas is tomorrow and I'm still at a loss as to what I should do."
The couple stared at him in disbelief.
"No. Way." Michiyo exclaimed.
"You should have asked us earlier!" Takuya said, "now it's Christmas Eve and it'll be hard to do something!"
"I know, but I've been trying to plan something so, so perfect for my first Christmas with Oh-chan," Nino said, "but I have no idea what to do."
"Hmm... well you can go grab some mistletoe and string it around the whole house and peck him every time you meet under one," Michiyo said. Takuya laughed.
"That's so cheesy! How about just a good cuddle while watching shows on TV? With beer and all, you can't really go wrong," he suggested.
"What?! That's so unromantic! It's Christmas, you know. It has to be special for them," Michiyo complained.
"Well, what are you two doing on Christmas then?" Nino asked.
"Actually..." Michiyo blushed as she looked at Takuya, "we are going to an onsen ryokan in Hakone to celebrate."
"Whoa, that's a great idea!" Nino said.
"Isn't it? It's a special celebration in Kanagawa and it keeps us warm at the same time! Perfect when there's too much snow here." Takuya said.
"Well I can take him somewhere... but where would be good?" Nino muttered.
"He likes fishing, doesn't he?" Michiyo said.
"But I get seasick," Nino replied.
"There's always ice-fishing," Takuya suggested, "try Hokkaido. I hear that at Lake Eniwa you can go fishing for lake smelt fishes."
"... that sounds... like quite a good idea... I'll look it up!" Nino murmured thoughtfully, and Michiyo and Takuya grinned proudly at their suggestion.
"But... I want to keep it a surprise. What should I do?" Nino asked.
Takuya pondered. "Well, in the morning when he's still sleeping, pack up his fishing equipment and anything else you'll need and then wake him up. That should be enough of a surprise."
"Alright, I know what to do! I'll call and make a reservation right away!" Nino said, offering them a toast to an enjoyable Christmas for all four of them.

"So..." Jun asked as he looked around the restaurant that he, Sho and Aiba were invited to, "why did you ask us here, Ohno-san?"
"I need your input on something for tomorrow..." Ohno said.
"... WHAT?!" Sho and Aiba gasped in shock, while Jun simply blinked in surprise at him.
"You have yet to plan anything?" Jun confirmed.
"This is really rushed! What can one possibly do with so little time?!" Sho said.
"That's why I've come for some advice..." Ohno said, then turned to Sho and Aiba, "What are you two doing to celebrate Christmas?"
"Tomorrow, we're going to Hokkaido!" Aiba said excitedly, "Sho-chan apparently booked us a tour there so we can eat lots of stuff there!"
"Just think," Sho said, "the crabs, sea urchins..." Ohno laughed.
"I hear that there's ice-fishing over there at Hokkaido. You can give that a try," Jun said.
"... But Kazu... I'm not sure if he likes fishing..." Ohno said.
"Ah right... he gets seasick, doesn't he?" Sho said.
"But when the lakes there are frozen you don't have to worry about getting seasick!" Aiba said.
"Well... either way, there has to be something else," Ohno said, "Jun-kun, any ideas?"
"Hmm," Jun gave a thoughtful look, "it is a little cold now, so I think you two need to warm up somewhere... How about an onsen?"
"That sounds great!" Sho exclaimed.
"Just imagine, ne," Aiba said excitedly, "you and Nino-kun in a yukata... and then later when you two go into the hot spring..."
"Okay, stop stop stop," Jun said, "that's too much excitement and I need to keep my dinner down."
"Hmm.. but where?" Ohno said.
"... Hakone in Kanagawa? Hakone is rather famous for its gorgeous views of the gorge," Jun said.
"I hear that it's one of the top popular ryokans in the whole country," Sho said, "I think it would be special enough for Nino-kun."
"Hmmm I'll go with that and make the reservations now. Thanks guys!" Ohno said gratefully as he whipped out his phone.
That night, Sho and Aiba returned to their home, but just before they were about to enter, Sho stopped them.
"Masaki, I need you to close your eyes and stay outside here for a while." Sho said. Aiba looked at him with his curious puppy eyes.
"But why?" Aiba asked. Sho sighed and ruffled his boyfriend's hair affectionately.
"I won't be long, trust me," Sho said. Aiba nodded obediently and closed his eyes, leaning in the doorway. Sho made sure that Aiba wasn't peeking and disappeared in the house.
A few minutes later, Aiba heard the door open, and felt a pair of hands guide him in.
"Sho-chan? Can I open my eyes now?" he asked.
"Not quite yet," Sho said, "just follow the sound of my voice."
"Keep talking," Aiba said.
"Just trust me..." Sho said as he carefully led Aiba to their bedroom, "here we are! Open your eyes."
Aiba opened his eyes and they lit up like the candles on the chocolate cake, which sat in the middle of their rose-petal sprinkled bed.
"Happy birthday, Masaki," Sho said as he gave him a hug, "I love you."
"Sho..." Aiba whimpered, touched at his lover's romantic gesture. He leaned into Sho's embrace, then looked up.
"You didn't bake the cake, did you?" Aiba asked. Sho grinned.
"No, I ordered it from outside," he said, "I can't bake for nuts."
"Aww, pity. I would like to see you try someday." Aiba said.
"Once people stop making sugar look like salt, I will," Sho said, and Aiba giggled as he made a wish and blew out the candles on the cake.

That same night, Ohno wondered if there was anything wrong with Nino, because he seemed to act very shifty. He would stand in the kitchen and look around or sit down on their bed and look around again. He reached over to Nino to hug him.
"Kazu... is there anything bothering you?" he asked.
"Ah! N-n-nothing! Not at all!" Nino said nervously and Ohno gave a pout. He knew Nino's character well enough to know that something was indeed bothering him. But he decided not to worry too much- he would tell him when he's ready.
"... alright," Ohno said, "shall we sleep?"
Nino's eyes seem to light up at the idea. "That'd be great! Goodnight, Oh-chan!" Nino said.
Within the next few minutes, Nino had washed up, changed his clothes and hid under the covers in their bed. Then it hit Ohno.
"Oh. I see what he wants," Ohno said with a sheepish grin, sliding under the covers behind him and embracing him from behind.
"Ne,Kazu," Ohno said softly, and Nino looked up at him with curious eyes.
"I'm feeling a little frisky tonight," Ohno breathed, and proceeded to press his lips on Nino's forehead. Nino grinned, and poked him on the cheek.
"You are a cheeky one, Oh-chan," Nino teased, leaning in for another kiss. Ohno deepened the kiss, completely intending to make Nino his for the night when...
"BUT," Nino said loudly with a mischievous grin and Ohno sat up in surprise, "I'm not in the mood tonight. Goodnight~"
With that, Nino slipped back under the covers, while Ohno did the same with a sulk.
"If we did go with that," Nino thought, "I swear, we won't be able to walk tomorrow."

"Ne... Oh-chan? Oh-chan? Wake up!"
Ohno stirred in his sleep as he opened them to see Nino smiling down at him. His lips curled up into a smile as he stretched and stared at his lover.
"Good morning," Ohno murmured sleepily.
"Merry Christmas," Nino said, bringing their lips together in a sweet morning kiss, "now get ready, we are going out."
Ohno sat up, looking at Nino in surprise.
"I... I was about to tell you..." Ohno said, and Nino looked at him curiously.
"What?" Nino said, "... don't tell me you have plans today as well?"
"I actually... made a reservation last night for us," Ohno admitted, "at Hakone, Kanagawa."
Nino looked at him in shock.
"Oh-chan..." Nino said, "Michiyo-chan and Takuya-kun are going there today, you know!"
"EH?!" Ohno stared at him, not knowing what to say at such a coincidence.
"I have planned out today for us," Nino said, "by waking up and packing up your fishing equipment, because I made reservations for us in Hokkaido. We are going ice-fishing there."
"What?!" Ohno said, "but, Sho-kun and Aiba-kun are going to Hokkaido today!"
"Seriously?!" Nino demanded.
"Yeah, I met them last night!" Ohno said.
"I met Michiyo-chan and Takuya-kun last night too!" Nino replied.
Seeing that Fate had thrown them into a fix with these coincidences, the couple fell back on the bed laughing their hearts out.
"I can't... I can't believe it!" Nino wheezed, "we are basically being lightbulbs for these bakas wherever we go!"
"Well, we can afford being lightbulbs for ONE of the couples," Ohno said.
Nino hummed as he leafed through the guidebook, then grinned at it.
"You know," Nino said, there's the Takinoya ryokan in Hokkaido."
".. so we are going ice-fishing AND dipping in hot springs?" Ohno said. Nino nodded, giving Ohno a hug.
"But..." Ohno asked, "why were you looking around here and there last night?"
"Because I had to keep it a surprise and yet somehow know where you keep your fishing equipment. I also needed to know where the ingredients for today's breakfast are." Nino said.
".. then last night... you also didn't.." Ohno mumbled, and Nino knew what he was talking about.
"Plenty of time for THAT later in Hokkaido," Nino drawled sexily in a low tone, "besides, if we did that last night, I wouldn't be able to wake up or walk!"
"Ah... right..."Ohno said, and Nino patted him fondly on the head.
"Well... shall we go?" Nino asked, "I have everything ready for our Christmas trip, you know. Fishing equipment, food..."
Ohno nodded, then whispered huskily, "I can't wait to see you in a yukata."
"Oh, you will, soon enough and only for a fleeting moment till it falls off," Nino said with a seductive grin.
Omake: Ohno and Nino decided to forgo ice-fishing for their first day in Hokkaido and go for dipping in the hot springs. But they decided against both after seeing each other in a yukata and having the urgent desire to strip them off each other all over again. They never came out for the rest of the day till dinnertime.
