The grip on his wrist makes golden stars spark across his vision, made worse because he still hasn't quite remembered how to breathe properly. Even through the heavy leather gloves, Ivan's hands are freezing, like the Rhein in mid-December, and he grits his teeth at the agonizingly familiar feeling of splintered bones encased in ice. A pained hiss works its way free of his lips, and maybe Russia hears, maybe not, but either way, he receives a painful insistent tug, reminding him that he won't be not who he was anymore. The stars increase in numbers, dancing on a red backdrop.
