Indeed, now you know what to look for and where, it will be so damn obvious you wonder how you missed it first time round.
I need to watch the end titles closely to see if I can spot the other 'items'.
It is an excellent movie though. I would point out though some of the SFX at the end are a bit dodgy, especially as the Mothership rises up over Devil's Tower, in some shots its also patently coming around the side of the volcanic plug, in a strange way that would have the bulk of the ship passing through solid rock.
I put this down to the fact that post production was a bit rushed because Columbia was apparently being a bit pushy in getting the film to release. Perhaps Doug Trumbull slipped a little in his quality control as a result. Otherwise it's just odd !
Talking of timing, getting movies confused as to release dates happened with me too when I first saw 'Scanners' and 'The Fury'. for some reason I thought Scanners was released first and The Fury followed ( probably because that's the order I watched them in back in my youthful years ), so was being a bit down on Brian de Palma for ripping off David Cronenberg ( the two movies being similar in several ways ).
Alas, it seems Cronenberg ripped off de Palma, as the Fury was released well before Scanners !
Ahh the good old days of telekinetic, brain exploding movies.
