Has anyone outside Canada heard about the political crisis here? We may have elections again. Only 2 months after electing the current government and just when we're about to vote for provincial elections here in Quebec. I still prefer elections to the alternative of a coalition government of people we never voted for.
Why am I ranting about this? Simply because I noticed on political forums how people tend to think that Quebecker = Bloc = Separatist. Hello cultural racism!
I'm a Quebecker. I'm a French Canadian of French ancestry. I speak French at home and in my daily life. I'm also a federalist. Surprised? You shouldn't be. Not everyone in Quebec is a rabid Bloc / PQ supporter. Actually, a majority of the voting population must be federalist or Quebec would be a country by now.
End of rant. Back to my happy self.
