Just Outside Cafe Fina [Tuesday Morning]
It wasn't that early but it was still far earlier than Hatter liked getting up in the morning. He wasn't exactly sure what had woken him but there was some strange niggling in his head, like something had returned and if he didn't get his ass in gear, he was going to miss it.
The only bad thing was that he had no idea where he was supposed to go. Thankfully, he didn't have to go far. After getting dressed and dropping his hat on his head, he took five steps down the sidewalk in front of his restaurant, turned and looked down a nearby alley and paused.
"Well, it's about bloody time you showed back up," he said, squinting at the mirror that was sitting against one wall. It looked dirty and tarnished, like some old mirror that someone had thrown away but Hatter would recognize the Looking Glass anywhere. "Have you been there the whole time?"
The Looking Glass, of course, said nothing but Hatter stomped towards it, frowning. He came to stand in front of it, giving it a critical look. It appeared to be in one piece and while he knew he was seeing his reflection now (looked good today, he did), Hatter knew that he could take a step in and be back in Wonderland.
"This a one way trip?" he said to himself, pushing his hat back. "Or will you stay on if I want to come back?"
Still no answer. Hatter sighed and put his hands in the pockets of his brown leather jacket. Decision time.
