Randy kicks ass! No, not a crazy fangirl's, but through his onstage performance :)

Frank Rizzo's review of Amadeus in Variety (his Equus review is no longer linkable) gives Randy two glowing paragraphs and Jonathan Epstein only one sentence:After starring in Berkshire Theater Festival's "Equus" last year, Harrison returns with another Shaffer battle between man and his god/gods, giving Mozart a vibrant physicality, energy and joy. The virtuosity is so overwhelming it cannot be contained in his body: Harrison jumps, skips, kicks and practically levitates onstage as he gets carried away with his music -- as well as his libido.

But Harrison's scatological man-child is oddly endearing, too. He is playful more than petulant, passionate about music (even if it is just his own), with a chastened boy's regret in knowing he has gone too far. His second-act decline is rich in emotional detail, with just the right modulated sparks from his former self to buoy his last gasps of genius.

One day there'll be an Amadeus reviewer who will be a little more bold bawdy and write "obsessive with shit and licking ass" instead of the euphemistic "scatalogical" :b

But there's a rather less glowing review by Seth Rogovoy (who's a friend of critic Michael "I love Jonathan Epstein" Eck) although he really liked Randy's performance in his review of Equus.

And for those falling asleep reading this *waves Brian underwear under noses* [and waits to see how long before Photofucket deletes it],  I'll try and spice things up a little more soon (when headache subsides).

amadeus, randy
