So, a friend finally made it through last night and I was able to record his piano intro for a song we wrote on my cell phone (so I can get someone else to play it for a final recording.  Or I can figure it out, but I really don't want to; I have an irrational hatred of playing keyboard and I can't figure out why).  I was just listening to it and I am ridiculously excited because I have figured out the other bits for that song for the most part, I just need to get it sampled (my comp's not fancy enough, gotta use someone else's but it's been offered so that's cool) and get people together to record it.  So yeah, very happy about how it's coming along.

Also managed to get a happy song I was writing to start coming together after I spent the whole night sitting around and drinking with someone and we watched the sunrise and smoked.  Good way to spend the night and it totally put me in the right state of mind.  Plus, cigarettes taste much better at sunrise.

Tonight is the Repo! the Genetic Opera shadowcast in West Hollywood, and I'm stoked.  Should be a lot of fun.
