really good. nice useage of pictures to make it look like a real book. im always amazed when people make such good quality stuff like this. how do you do it?

Aw, thank you. I like making book covers for fics because then it looks like they're actual Torchwood books (or I can imagine they are). And I create them through hours of messing about on Gimp (a free photoshop type app).

I usually start with the base for the book i.e. the team at the bottom and the torchwood title. I then usually pick a character that's prominent in the fic to go on the cover and use a promo image to get a good quality pic of them that I then erase the background on. I also usually pick a background that's relevant to the story i.e. Canary Wharf in the second cover and the cybermen in the first and put it behind the main character (and you probably didn't want that much detail). These were actually the easier of some I've made. I've got others I've done that have loads more layers with ghost type characters in the background etc. Practice makes perfect, though. ;)

Yay! Glad you like 'em. And I use Gimp, which is like photoshop but free, because I'm poor.
