And has never ceased to be true

When you were cold and shivering
My faith kept you warm

On my already aching back
I’ve used my body
To shield you against attack
I cried tears
So you wouldn’t have to
I tried my best
To keep pain away from you
I put myself in front
Of any pain that came your way

To see another day
