For some absolutely crazy reason I thought that the arrangements for this Tuesday would be a good idea...
So basically, I'm heading on a roadtrip in England with some people on Wednesday, and getting up at insane-o-clock. This means that I'll be staying over with one of the guys this Tuesday night.
This isn't so bad if you don't consider the following... I had an interview for one group in Sun scheduled for 2 on the Tuesday. That's still going ahead, but I also got a callback from the other dept interviewed me by phone on the Friday. In a fit of demon-possession - my only explanation for this - I decided to arrange this for this Tuesday as well, just about a half an hour after I expect the other one to finish. This interview will be 2 hours long and basically will face some of the engineers and stuff.
That means that I can expect to get out of the place at roughly...oh...I dunno... yeah, rush-hour. Then I have to get back and finish packing, eat and get myself to the house, where I'm probably not going to sleep a lot, and then get up into a car, and ferry over to Stratford-upon-Avon while we all pull an all-nighter camping outside the Royal Shakespeare place trying to see Dr. Hamlet (I was thinking of Hamlet Who but that doesn't work nearly as well) as well as the sexy bald king. Bear in mind that this is booked out and there's quite a chance that I won't actually get to see this because I happen not to be 25 or under any more (apparently they have 10 tickets every day in reserve for some young folk willing to camp out and work on a first-come-first-serve basis)... so I'll be camping out with the other non-youngster trying to get cancellation tickets.
By the way, we don't have a hostel booked for that night. We plan to alternate between queuing and dozing in the car. This is going to be one of those Adventure thingies, and a Story to tell the proverbials. After that, one night in a B&B in Warwick and then a trip to London until the 15th where we make a trip from Greenwich to Holyhead. This is going to be... um... interesting, especially given how the owner of the car drives - we're going to have to limit the metal on this roadtrip.
