Wow... I can't roast a chicken on this any more.
I discovered something today. My computer gets hot because of all the shiny shiny desktop effects I normally have running on my machine. For various, and slightly irritating reasons, I had to turn it off.
I only realised now that the reason this thing isn't venting hot air like a fan oven is probably because I turned off the shiny. I reckon I can expect it to live longer on a battery as well (if it's putting energy into being a heater, it's energy coming from the battery - so it's energy saved). I must remember this.
