Life has been hectic for the last few weeks, end of the semester is always such a rush.
So I've decided on a few things that are going to make my life a bit rougher, but will be good in the end.
-Going into the BSMS program (5 year master's degree) which means taking courses that count as undergrad AND grad credit so that the Master's degree only takes an extra year instead of 1.5-2
-Becoming an RA because I know I could handle it, and It pays for housing, which is 5-6,000 of my bill each semester. Also when i become a grad I can do RA and TA(teaching assistant) and get nearly a free ride.
If i get my resume prepared in a week I could have a potential internship with IBM (!!!!!!!!!!) over the summer doing Q&A (basically beta testing). If I didn't have a research paper to do before then i'd be a bit less worried. I'll hopefully figure it out. Of course that leads to the problem of: I love my current workstudy job, AND i'm taking summer courses. Could I do all 3? probably not, that'd be great though. At the least I'll do IBM and courses, since IBM would prolly pay more than 10/hr. I'd go back to workstudy on the school year anyway, except that i dunno if you can and be an RA, it's hard to be there for students when you're only home for like 3 hours a day that aren't sleep. So it's a tough decision for me.
And on top of all this, I think I'd like to not copy jess and join the fencing team at school next year (cuz it started this year omg!) and potentially wise guys (Community Service group) Not to mention i'm an officer of Master's Gaming Konnection right now and I'd like to stay on to push for that group doing community service (Play games with old folks or go to a children's hospital, that'd be great).
So that'd mean next year: Grad courses, RA, Fencing Team, community service, officer of MaGiK, and Workstudy.
So when you guys see my on a street corner in a year, begging for change, could ya at least wave to me?
Take Care guys,
Mike
