I just remembered that last year, Jason and Molly gave me Molly for my birthday.
Funny, the differences a year makes.
So.. As of (11:45 pm) yesterday, I am legally an adult. I am old enough to buy cigarettes, lighters, porn... Not that that really changes much. I might want a lighter, for the tons of candles I have, but probably not.
But that's beside the point.
I have been having a wonderful weekend. I stayed over Tom's house Thursday night, so that we could wake up early on Friday to go to breakfast. We went to Mom's Cafe, because they have banana pancakes, even though neither of us actually got them; he got raisin french toast, (which we think was actually 50% egg,) and I got apple cinnamon pancakes. (YUM.) And he gave me my presents: Johnny the Homicidal Maniac #7, Mitch All Together (Mitch Hedberg), Black on Broadway (Lewis Black), a package of that super-yummy granola-with-raspberries we got before, a Green Day (Dookie) shirt, and a Bouncing Souls shirt! All in a pretty bag with two of the prettiest bows I've seen. And he gave me a card: To A Very Special Husband...
I wore the Bouncing Souls shirt the rest of that day, as well as Saturday, and wore my Green Day shirt today. And so far, I've watched both DVDs twice, and read my JTHM comic.
When I came home, Matt and Ky had just finished making delicious treats, with chocolate, raspberry syrup, almond flavoring, apricot jam, and other yummy ingrediants. (Not all of those were used in combination. Mostly, the chocolate was combined with everything else in separate treats.)
And I got more gifts! Dad got me the latest Harry Potter book, (yeah, I still didn't have it,) and Mom got me more funky socks and a set of pretty boxes. Oh, and with the $25 I got from Ma, and Johanne and Holbeche, I bought myself a black pinstripe fedora,* which I've gotten tons of compliments on, and my first Christmas gift of the season. (Tomorrow, between classes, I'm going to go look for a job, so I can afford more gifties. And, because I want a job.)
But yes. As a reminder to those who are coming to my party: It is next weekend, it is a costume party, and you are welcomed to bring a guest. And gifts are optional.
Oh, and, geeky, but: I got a CoCo Kitty on Gaia!
*It looks something like this, except mine is MUCH better looking, and cost less than half of what they're asking.
