When Ruby brings up other potential "specials", Sam demands to know more about her. She still claims to be a hunter, but tells Sam she might be able to help him with Dean's ~problem~ if he keeps the questions to a minimum.

+ Sam lies to Sylar about how he's... playing World of Warcraft. Sylar intros himself as Andrew.
+ Sam tells Claire he's writing a paper on economic revisionism. They share fries and Claire tells him about her plans to track down Sylar. He says he'd go with her but can't because he's... FBI.
+ Spike crashes through the window and together they fight and defeat a tentacle monster. They lead exciting lives.
+ Ruby crashes Sam's life again and keeps bringing up the Antichrist thing and generally trying to make him as uncomfortable in public as humanly possible. She brings up that he has to learn how to fight demons, just in case. He demands to know more about her but ... they just end up insulting each other. She gives him a hint about the job in town.
+ Elle accuses Sam of looking at porn in a public place. She ends up having a shock fit, and he worries about her but she refuses to go to the hospital.
+ When Dean almost catches him trying to research ways to help save him, Sam just lies and... says yeah it was porn.

After fighting the tentacle demon, Sam and Spike discuss the vampire's... vampness. And why Spike has a soul. Sam is... slightly incredulous of all Spike's mushy vampire feelings, but look, he... understands having too many feelings. They discuss Sam's earlier conversation with Anya and Spike assures him all that shit with the Mayor happened back in S3 and is old news now.
Sam questions Sylar about the epiphany he had after saving someone's life from a vortex, but Sylar is just.... really pissy at him because he never showed up for the raid.
