Er, Harry Potter spoilers below.
I think it's safe to say that I have never sobbed so hard at something fictional in my entire life. And that includes Garden State (also, those were happytears).
I guess my subject line is kind of a spoiler for Fred? Because...well, rocks fell, and...yeah. Oh, FRED. Maybe it's because I have a big family, or because my sisters are twins, but that one really, really got to me. I thought it would be Percy, or Mrs. Weasley, or even Ron, but I really thought FredandGeorge were safe!
Speaking of Mrs. Weasley...how fucking awesome was that?! STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH! Ohh, Mrs. Weasley for the win.
I am pissed at Lupin and Tonks for dying, especially because of Teddy (btw, I called Teddy after OotP, though I was hoping for Teddy Sirius instead of Teddy Remus). But...I understand it. I hope they died fighting side-by-side, and I know they took down a dozen Death Eaters with them. Plus they're having nice sexy afterlife threesomes with Sirius now, so I guess that's all right.
Ron and Hermione...I love them. I've never really shipped among the Trio much, but this book I finally sort of saw how they might work out.
And then Harry. I really don't know what to say about Harry. Just <3. And <3 and <3 and <3. Also, as soon as they guessed the diadem I guessed that it was the one in the Room of Requirement in HBP. But that's only becuase Lisa was reading it and I stole it from her to check.
Maybe someday I'll have a coherent response, but I'd probably have to read it again to pull that off. And I cannot deal with that right now.
PS: OMG OMG SNAPE/LILY?!?! How can it make so much sense and yet be so...cracked out?
Anyway, now I'm going to read Men at Arms because I am in desperate need of some goofy footnotes.
PS: Hi, I are in Florida? We're right across a crazy busy highway from the library, so I thought I'd drop by. This afternoon, we're renting jet-skis for an hour. I have never been on a jet-ski before. Hopefully I will not die.
