The sun was set high in the sky, the birds song their songs of midday. Alone under a great gnarled old tree, sat a great warrior, blue irridesecnt scales glittering in the rays of sunlight, the ornemental gold and bronze illuminated the the flowers and plants nearby. Yet, this being of days long since past was troubled. The dreams of late shown of red eyes fanged with death, of great towers burning and the dead walking where the living once did.

Slowly walking, bedecked in feathers and charms. Bright observeant green eyes, looked with saddness at the great warrior sitting before him.

"Liconqua of the Bridge of the Stars, my old friend, i know what it is that troubles you for now i have seen your dreams."

Fierce reptilian azure eyes, turned to the small priest.

"He is neither living nor dead, who'm you dream of, his ambitions are great and will eventually war and fire will come upon us if he is not stopped now. But i fear... he's long years have brought him perfection in killing."

Liconqua nodded. Slowly begain to speak.

"My twin goes East, we are few now. If this is what must be done. Then i will not disgrace my ancestors."

The priest looked saddley upon his friend.

"He has not gathered an army, your friends, sisters and brothers will ride with you. We are the children of the old ones, we are the inheriters of the stars."

The priest felt the words were hallow, and knew that he would never see his dear friend again.

The road was long, the northen winds blew cold on their blue scales, in his company were warriors he has fought beside and led for many years, without question or hestitation, they carried their decorated shields. Liconqua rode with his sisters and brothers, on great ferociocs beasst's that only the most stubborn and dediecated could tame.

"The moon is rising the time is near, at all cost's the red eye'd one must parish. Should we fail the lands of the humans will be prayed upon, and death and fire will come to our most sacred of places."

Instinctually, they drew their battle lines, and silently stalked through the woods, not even the dead can move this quietly. The village before them burned brightly, already a willowly hollow man was raising the newly dead, A giant of a man in baroque red armor, drained the blood of those still living. The deep bass horns of the Old ones blarred, the drumbs begain the ancient rhythmn of sacrifice, and with a bellowing Roar Liconqua of the Bridge of the Stars Charged. Swiftly through the woods and brush, his mount carried him over fences walls, his sisters and brothers road beside him, his mighty weapon glowed a fierce gold in the moonlight, as spears were lowered, a pack of rotting wolves charged Liconqua, before his sisters and brothers could even responded, with a ancient fighting style, he singled handly slew them all, He watched as his warriors, stayed their ground as the dead threw themselves at their line over and over again. Chiquik With his great club smashed his way through the pitiful skeletons that would dare stand in his way. Liconqua heard the horn blare, his sisters and brothers charged, then... He saw him Red eyes fanged with death, with a smug smile on his face, drew his sword and lazily walked foreward. Liconque silently bolted foreward, they two great warriors clashed, blow upon blow rained down upon the Vampire, yet with the skill of centuries parried and dodged the fangs, shield, and feathered club, A deep gash was returned on Linconque's side, the Vampire sardonically smiled at him.
"I'm impressed..

The fury of blows rained down again, two warriors, centuraires of warfare, fainted and striked at one another, all around the melee depended, the despartion of the human necromancer grew, as he watched the children of the old ones, cut down more of the dead then he could raise back.

The vampire sword thrust deep into Liconque's chest, yet, Liconque's eyes looked up to the stars, as he saw a falling star sing across the night sky, the old ones favored him this day.

The vampire lazily kicked the dead warrior off his bladed, as he turned around with a bored expression, the last thing he saw, was a feathered Reptilian warrior part his head from his shoulders with a single languid swing.

Even the dead have their last thoughts, and those who were listening remember well. as the thoughts of Baron Van richen faded into nothingness, "the brute.. tricked me..."

The dead were finally put to rest, Liconques sister stood over his cold lifeless body.

"go my brother to the far shores, our ancestors welcome you, until you return again In this life. we will be here, your place awaiting you."

So my lizardmen fought vampire counts today, it was one fun and intense battle. and i won with a minor victory (pearic victory i might add)

Its good to play again. =)
