My name is Emily, and I am 25 years old.
I live in the Northern part of the state of Utah (United States), in Clearfield.

I am approx. 5'5", and currently 219 208 lbs. I'm working hard to make it to my goal weight of 140 lbs, hopefully by the end of this year.
I have strawberry blonde/light brown hair (all natural) and blueish grey eyes. I have little ears, and a crease in the center of my chin.

I have one younger sister, Rachel, who is 20 years old.
Rachel currently lives in Silver Springs, Maryland, where she is attending college at Montgomery.

My mom and dad were married and together for 30 years, until they seperated a little over 2 years ago.
My mom continues to live in the house where I spent most of my childhood, in Taylorsville... which is a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah (United States).
My dad lives in an apartment not far from the house, also in Taylorsville.
Mom is an elementary teacher. She teaches 2nd grade, and is currently going to school and working towards her Masters Degree.
EDIT 6/10/08: Dad has just recently moved back in with my mom, as they are giving their relationship another shot. My mom figures now, while my sister is in Maryland, would be a good time so she can focus all of her extra energy aside from teaching, on her marriage, instead of having to look out for my sister as she did before. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. They are my parents, and of course I would love to see things work out between them. But a lifetime of so many horrible memories of the two of them and their unhealthy and abusive relationship, makes me REALLY skeptical about the whole thing. I wish them the best, and just hope and pray that my mom will have the strength to stand up for herself if and when it is needed, and not continue to take crap from him like she did for 22 years.

Dad is a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, in the Great Salt Lake council.

In my free time, you can often times find me playing the piano.
I have been playing piano for over 17 years now.
If I'm not at the piano, I'm probably working on a someone's scrapbook.
I love to scrapbook, and really enjoy making cards also.
I am an outdoors girl. I love to hike, camp...
I also love to swim. If I were any animal in a previous life, I'm almost certain I would have been some sort of fish or possibly a mermaid...
I'm not your average girl. I'm more of a guy than the guys, and girlier than the girls.
I'm emotional and dramatic, sensitive and stubborn.
If you're my friend, I'll do pretty much anything for you within my means. And if I can't do it, I'll do my best to find a way to be able to. I'll be loyal and honest, and I'll defend and protect.
If you're my enemy... it's probably best you just steer clear of me. Though I'm not the type of person to ever want to hurt anyone, including those who have hurt me... I have been known to step far beyond "civilized" when my emotions get caught up in a battle. A fault of mine I continually work on changing for the better. Fortunatly, it's very hard to become an enemy of mine. Almost impossible, really. I'm far too forgiving and trusting for my own good.
Most of all, I'm real. I tell things as they are, thru my eyes. I do my best to set things in such a way that those who read about it, can almost feel and see things from my shoes.
I'm straight forward, and sometimes a little too blunt. At the same time, I have a HUGE wall that most do not see, which guards me from emotional fears. Those who I'm closest to, often times have the priveledge to see beyond that wall, to the bareness of my mind and heart.
I love the Earth. I adore the animals, the plants, and every creation there is.
I believe everything we go thru in life, is a learning experience. There's a lesson to be learned in every step we make.
I believe we all have within us, powers to do wonderful and splendid things with. Parts of ourselves we know nothing of, that hold such amazing gifts. I believe that it IS possible for each and every one of us to find that power, and learn to use it for good, if we so choose.
I am the wind and the rain, the ocean and the mountain top.
I feel things with my heart, more than most even.
I feel at home in a thunderstorm, and I feel peace in the midnight sky.
Music is my life.
It is what moves me. It is my sanity, my clarity, and my freedom.
I am who I am. That's all I can be.
