Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)

Apr 23, 2007 18:41

Go away
Give me a chance to miss you
Say goodbye
It'll make me want to kiss you
I love you so
Much more when you're not here
Watchin all the bad shows
Drinking all of my beer

I don't believe Adam and Eve
Spent every goddamn day together
If you give me some room there will be room enough for two

Tonight
Leave me alone I'm lonely
Alone I'm lonely
I'm tired
Leave me alone I'm lonely
Alone I'm lonely tonight

I don't wanna wake up with another
But I don't wanna always wake up with you either
No you can't hop into my shower
All I ask for is one fuckin' hour
You taste so sweet
But I can't eat the same thing every day
Cuttin off the phone
Leave me the fuck alone
Tomorrow I'll be beggin' you to come home

Tonight
Leave me alone I'm lonely
Alone I'm lonely
I'm tired
Leave me alone I'm lonely
Alone I'm lonely tonight

Go away
Come back
Go away
Come back
Why can't I just have it both ways
Go away
Come back
Go away
Come back
I wish you knew the difference
Go away
Come back  [etc, so on and so forth, works in a song but not with just lyrics]

Though it's not really what you think.  I need some time away from people that I live with, not people I hardly ever see.  Plus I've just been pondering over the lyrics like they're some psycholocal puzzle.  But mainly just singing along as I make my way along Westnedge, the oddest street in the world.

Case in point: today I wanted to turn left into Meijer, across two lanes of traffic, but not at the stoplight.  I'm thinking "Okay, there's a gap after this silver car," but the car - in the lane closer to me - actually comes to a full stop so that we'd be less than three feet apart if he were in the turn lane.  So I'm thinking "WTF, mate?"  Because there's no light, he's not turning, he has no reason to stop ... but he's stopped and waiting, so I shrug and turn.  And sort of wave, while at the same time muttering, "What the hell are you doing?"

True, he could be "just nice."  But "just nice" people stop far enough back during a red light so someone can turn onto the street in front of them.  They don't come to a random halt on a five-lane road and risk being hit by other people just so random college students can turn into Meijer.  It makes absolutely no sense.

In other news, I've become much more observant of cars lately.  Jack's getting jealous; he knows he's going to be replaced.
