my second movie-vidlet, almost a counterpart to the last one ;)

my first try at something fun/dance-y, using the movie 'the boat that rocked'. i'm not sure if it's a well known/liked movie, but i sort of love it - all the dancing & music and great actors... hopefully this vidlet manages to capture some of that lighthearted spirit.

Whew! I don't know if you did the boxes, or if you edited them in from the movie, but either way this is a just such an energized, get-happy, get up and dance video - I just love it! The push/slide transitions are just perfect for the time period, as is the song itself, and the scattering of the albums throughout is just a great idea.

This is such a difference your usual style. I hope you feel liberated. I know I'm smiling and bopping to a new beat. Thanks!

HEEE, *hearts you & your comment* i'm so happy you like it! i was kinda nervous, cause like you say - it's a bit different from my usual style.

the boxes-thing was something i actually picked up from the movie. i loved the look of it & did most of them myself for the vid; but some were already in the source... same with the album covers! i just love the love for music this movie brings across & wanted it in my vid as well :)

& i'm just really glad that this worked for you! (and yeah, this movie & also the vid actually brought me a lot of happy as well, YAY)

Words are failing me at the moment, but I have a big, silly grin on my face. That video was just perfect (and captured the fun of the movie so well!)!

It's so nice to see this little movie get more love. And this is a wonderful little love letter to Radio Rock :) Thanks for posting it!
