So its been a while. I just felt the urge to type some stuff out. I dunno. For me typing is easier then writting in a private journal even though I can write more stuff more openly in that one. Sooooooo...............WHERE TO START.
I am finally quitting outback. And good riddance. TOday is my LAST DAY!!!!! I couldn't be more thrilled. It was an interesting 5 months. I leanred a lot. I am glad that it is over even though I'll be making a lot less money with my allowance.
College and the future. It's all freaky and scary and out there, swirling in the mist. I feel like if only I could squint hard enough into the unknown I would get a vision or a sign or a divine epiphany.........and just KNOW....once and for all, what I would like to do with my life. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. Oh well..... I just know that I'm going into college undecided and that I want to soak everything up. I want to live passionately and try new things. I want to join a crazy sports team that I have never done before, like rowing, or fencing or ballroom dancing. I want to go to coffee shops with funky furniture and fireplaces and warm lighting that directs your attention to a tiny stage where some free roving musician is strumming out there heart and soul for you on a guitar, or caressing the keys of a piano like it is there last day on earth. I want to learn about cool and interesting subjects, in classes with people who are share the same interest in that class, and with professors who are exxcited and knowlegable in their fields......AHhhhh............sigh.............and I want to live On campus
Kairos is coming uup and I am ecstatic. REALLY. I have been looking forward to this for a long time. I AM READY for whatever it has to offer. I am open. I am willing. I am waiting. Its going to be a blast. I can feel it. I will laugh, cry, jump up and down for an hour on one leg........I'll do whatever they want me to do........I am ready for the experience. Not one of the leaders is someone that I wouldn't want to have guiding me through the experience, a lot of REALLY COOL teachers are going on it, too. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!!!! That sums it up!
ALso, my birthday is coming up. I am really excited for this. 18. I'll be freaking LEGAL!!!! YES!!! YES!! YES!!!! In a way, its kinda sad.......I am officially leaving childhood behind.......but at the same time, its a step forward. Just because I'm growing up doesn't mean that I will lose my imagination, my excitement, my hope and trust and joy for living. My family is celebrating my birthday this sunday, which should be a good time. California pizza kitchen, presents, and peanut butter chocolate banna pie. My real birthday, OCT 13, is taking place on the Thursday of Kairos. I feel like that makes Kairos even more special for me........sigh.....
Last note, my first voice recital is coming up. I am looking forward to this but after screaming all night at the WAterson game my throat is a little horse. Oh well. :) I dont care!!!!! I LOVE my STALLIONS.
So long. duty calls. (duty = cleaning and college apps!! boo! LOL)
