my nutty day!
today was a really interesting day. well first of all advanced acting was intense as hell.... stuff came out of me that i didnt even know i had me... im still not entirely sure how i feel about that, but im glad i got through it...
then i did the most amazing thing!
I met ANTHONY RAPP!!! those of you who dont know who he is you should be shot but i will fill you in. He was Mark Cohen in Rent on Broadway and in the movie. He read from his book, Without You. he also sang seasons of love answered questions and signed stuff. i have an autographed copy of his book and charlotte who is my savior for the day let me use her camera to take a picture with him.
He read a chapter from his book about when Rent officially opened and his mom came to NYC to see it and how he was filled with so much emotion at not only doing this spectacular show, finding out about larson getting the pulitzer and to top it all off his mo was there to cheer him on. and he litterally sang these songs to her and how everytime he sang about someone dying he had to hold back tears because she was really old and sick and i teared up listening to him talk.
i want that so bad. my parents are paying so much money so their daughter can be a fucking theatre major which is most cases means a waitress or a teacher.... i dont want their money their time and most importantly their love and support to go to waste. i will do anything i can to make this worthwhile to to live out my dream and therefore live their dream of seeing their lil girl be succesful and happy.... thank you anthony rapp.... you inspired me more than you will ever know...
