Allergies

So I finally have a comprised list of all the things I'm allergic to -- after, of course, getting eighteen shots and having a skin test done today. I also have to get twenty seven more in a couple of weeks, and then the rapid buildup will have left me with a sole required shot once a month for the rest of, well, my life.

I should feel more relieved to know what I'm allergic to, but I'm not. The list includes:

-- Cats

-- Dogs

-- Dust mites

-- Willow trees

-- Bahia, Bermuda, Johnson, and June grass

-- English Prantain

-- Cocklebur

-- Sheep Sorrel

-- S. Pigweed

-- Alternaria, Helminthosporium, Penicillium, Rhizopus, and Chaetomium mold.

I feel so bad about being allergic to my cat -- it's like I have to stay away from her, and I can't bare to do that. We're keeping her, of course, but I have to wash my hands after touching her, can't let her lick me or sleep in my lap, and can't allow her to sit in my window sill like she normally does. We have to wash her once a week (we normally wash her twice a year, at best), and are supposed to keep her confined to one area of the house.

I love my kitty, though. I'm just hoping the allergy shots work as nothing else has in the past.
