i'm sure my army of fans (can i have my own version of the 853?) will have been feeling neglected recently. truth is, i've been waiting for photos so i can really spoil you!
so, i went to see interpol on the 8th july. i saw them in brixton in april with freddie and danny and it was incredible so i was sooo excited about seeing them again. we had to travel all the way to manchester and back again in one day on a coach but it was totally worth it. we had a great day together. we got the coach from mk after wasting an hour there drinking strong tea. when we arrived, we sought out a fast-food restaurant in typical teenage fashion, and found a pizza hut. i <3 steph's staff discount. so anyway, walking back torught the city to find a cab to go to the venue, i spot DANIEL KESSLER in bella italia! that's the interpol guitarist and 3rd sexiest man in the world. (1 is marc and 2 is carlos d.)i said hi, he mumbled looked shy yet sweet (and suprisingly small.) i'm still spazzing about that! the show was incredible. better than brixton because there was no 'hands away' and they played 'stella...'i was second row from the front with a great view. i stood next to a friend of the band too who was lovely and there was a possibility of afterparty action but alas, the coach called. found out later that the party was at a rubbish bar called 'big hands.' those crazy cats sure love their hand references!

so, the next monday, i headed off to london after school with steph to see bright eyes and weirdly bumped into the friend of interpol we met in manchester! odd. anyway. the faint played an amazing set. last saw them 2 years ago so it was great to see how much they'd improved even from how wonderful they were before. played lots of new ones and old stuff. loved 'worked up so sexual' especially.
after that great set, i met up with danny. danny of 'lydia's ex-boyfriend' fame. was good to see him and realise that although i still want to be friends, i don't feel anything for him anymore. relief or what?! we watched bright eyes together who surprised me because i didn't think i would enjoy them at all. 'first day of my life,' 'lover i don't have to love' and 'easy lucky free' were highlights for me. beautiful venue too. somerset house in the courtyard. lovely.

went to r.e.m. on saturday. they were amazing obviously. very proud that i didn't even cry once! photos to come!
