so an update. what's been going on?
well, since june i've been saying that i'm moving to chch with work...because, that's what i've been told. the boss that i've trusted had told me that it was a sure thing. i WAS going to move there.
on friday we had a meeting about "my future".
they've advertised in chch for the job i was supposed to do and for another one i was warming towards.
they're creating a position in auckland to keep me here. they've offered me the title of "inventory controller" *trumpety fanfare* for our entire division. *the audience mumble in a well rehearsed ferver of astonishment and envy.*
seriously though, apparently its a senior position (whatever that means), and part of it is to push managers around...lol. the last guy who had this job was made redundant. it would mean that i would have to transfer, if only on paper, into a company that i had heard senior managers refer to as "a Sinking ship", how's that?
it's piqued my interest i've gotta say. a little bit of experience OFF THE FUCKING PHONES will do me FUCKING good. i feel i could easily end up out of my depth...though the statement has been made to me once or twice...it was a free pass. the sort of situation where you write your own cheque, within contextual reason of course, i mean...lets not be daft here.
could be ok.
in other news, i went to sydney a couple of weeks ago and saw a real live platypus in a tank. actually there were two, platypi? pusses? either way, i loved them...little goofy looking shumways, i even saw one eat a yabbi...not to be mistaken with a rabbi, that's not koscher.
i'd better go now...i was about to waffle on about electrorecption and how they find their pray...these brave little monotremes.
