Doesn't surprise me. While I was with you guys initially when you were being silly to make fun of all the "OMG LET'S BAN SO AND SO" posts, it did kind of outgrow its humour.
I was surprised we didn't get banned much, much sooner.
Somewhere in there, there was a point worth making, but more than anything I just felt frustrated and I don't see the difference between my nonsense and the majority of the other nonsense that gets posted there.

Well, I wasn't surprised. And in fact, I think I deserved to get banned. Especially because I did exactly what I had been saying, for some time, should be the only reason anyone should be banned: if they made using the community impossible. 7 MB of PNG files spaced out by 10+ lines of whitespace each is quite a huge impact on the page, and likely to make many browsers slow to a crawl.
Anyway, kali_kali just said she wasn't surprised it happened.

Actually, she said she wasn't suprised it happened, and that she was "with you guys initially," and that your silliness ceased to be funny. At which point the reader can easily infer that she is no longer "with you guys." And the topic at hand is your being banned/censored. But anyway.

I was with them initially. However, it got old. I don't support their banning, but they really should've quit it when all the hoopla it started about was over.
What a lot of people don't realize is that, while much of what I've posted in recent months has been silly, every bit of it has corresponded to something completely idiotic in the community. I think there's a time and a place for stupid humor, and I realize its time had passed a long time ago. I realized how inappropriate it was. But, like roter_terror said, 95% of the shit that gets posted there is just as pointless.
And don't get me wrong, I think it's important to help people who are new to anarchist theory to understand common misconceptions, but it seems like the majority of that sort of shit was coming from people who'd been in that community for as long as I had or longer, and just couldn't think for themselves if the world depended on it.
