Has anyone had problems with their mouth after chewing Dentyne Fire?
Sunday I burnt my tongue a bit on some hot soup and my tongue has felt burnt like that ever since.
Monday morning I woke up with a sore throat and I saw a couple of spots on my tonsils, so I gargled with salt water for a couple days. Also, the insides of my cheeks feel and look like I've chewed on them. I just figured this would go away after a while, but I've been feeling like my tongue is a bit swollen as well so I looked inside at my cheeks and there were all these red spots on them. I freaked and went to the doctor.
He said it was a little perplexing. He thought maybe I had strep throat that could have come up into my mouth a bit and caused my cheeks to swell and then I chewed them in my sleep which is a little unusual. In the end he said it would probably just go away. hmph.
I see today it looks like there might be still spots on the tonsils but he didn't seem to see them yesterday, so maybe it's just food or something. ew. *L*
Anyway, my mom said she was chewing that Dentyne Fire gum all day yesterday and she noticed that her cheeks felt like that today. Also the last time she chewed that gum which was a week ago - but she just figured she'd been eating too many salty foods or something.
I have chewed probably a 1/2 pack of that gum this week. hm.
