Sorry, Mr "Work Hard, And One Day You'll Be As Rick As Me", not even hard work works for everyone. But you appear to be too cut-off from people facing real financial challenges to understand that sort of thing even when you see it.

But I feel way more compassion for the hard worker - the struggling person - who isn't making it, despite all the struggles and work. Because life doesn't come with a magic formula for success, and saying that it does in an attempt to convince others we don't need to lend helping hands - even to those who have tried - doesn't make your words true.
