It's going to be a looooong day.
As some of you may know, today's the big YK, aka the Day of No Food (Until We Have an Awesome Brunch-y Thing Hosted By Stepbrother-in-Law's In-Laws). selftoken has to study, so we're skipping out on the big to-do at Temple Emanu-El. In fact, right now he's reading comp-sci that I don't understand to me out loud. Yes, like I said, it's going to be a long day...
This weekend, after a 12-mile walk and before a 20-miler on Saturday, had dinner at Beacon with the paternal half of the in-laws. It was really fantastic, though only possible when it's a special occasion and you're being taken out. I liked it much better than Spice Market the week before.
So, yeah, selftoken has been meaning to celebrate his 32nd, but since it occurred during the holidays, that hasn't worked out. I guess we could have done something Saturday night, but it was good we didn't, because for some reason my calves were super-achey from my walk. I had to shuffle to and from the couch. Oy. So, we were thinking of having something very belated (what could be more appropriate! ;) on Friday the 13th. Maybe at the Brooklyn Brewery, but Mitch isn't sure. Please comment and let me know if you're free that night.
