First off, a big Thank You to all of those who came to Fred's last night for my guest bartending gig. I raised $55, despite a bit of trial and error pouring beer on tap (Ohh, you're supposed to pull the tap ALL the way down...), had great fun, and may have discovered a new career (though only if I could do it in 2-hour spurts).
And if you haven't had a chance to donate yet to my 39-mile effort, you can do so easily
here.
Edited to add a
photo that
laughingirl took of me towering over the bar. :)
I have 200+ honeymoon photos on Shutterfly, so e-mail me if you're interested in seeing them. Also have some pro wedding photos on a Kodak account, so ditto on that.
My dad is super-awesome, and is driving my just-repaired car into the city tonight so I can have it for work and traveling up to Mass. on Friday. Mitch and I had been driving on LI Saturday night (after the car was brought in for weird noises, and belts were replaced) when the engine started making a horrific noise. When we pulled into a gas station, some pipe had partially detached from the bottom of my car. Fun, fun. But all is well, and apparently it wasn't a big deal, mechanically. OKee. I love my Honda, and it's supposed to last for a long time, at least 100,000 miles, but it sucks that when you hit 80k is when everything starts falling off and having to be replaced.
