Mary Sue? *scratches her head pensively* Oh dear! I hope not. I'm pretty sure the leading female character won't slay any dragons or left-handedly defeat a wizard more evil than Voldemort in this one. *checks* Nope, she doesn't :P

Does that at least sound moderately reassuring?

I do! And maybe that's why I like it. She's a very real character and doesnt overshadow (if that makes sense). Also Sev is spot on. Offers you a double chocolate, macadamia nut cookie enticement.

I love the scene when they went to dinner in the Great Hall. I knew what would happen, I'm surprised she didn't figure it out beforehand. It's bad enough that the students will all be gossiping about them, but, oh dear, will he ever be able to live it down with all the staff room discussions (or maybe they are gossip sessions) that will be going on now.
