That Diana F+ kit looks amazing! I have a mini Diana camera and I've got to start using it more. I hate that I'm so reliant on digital. The only bad thing is that when I want to be in the photos, my friends have no clue how to use a film camera, haha.

How much was your f/1.8 50mm lens and where did you get it from? I've been wanting the f/1.4 one for years now, but in all this time, I still haven't been able to justify the purchase myself! I think I may settle for a f/1.8 too because it's only a hobby for me as well.

ohhh it is amazing! there are so many bits and pieces to play with, i'm so excited about it all. & i hate that too, just because i always have an idea of how i want a photo to look in my head so i always take them and i hardly ever end up in the photos myself/i just feel lame asking my friends to take a photo of me doing something when normally i'd just take the photo of them, haha.

it was about $130-ish australian & i just bought it from ebay. i was looking at both the f/1.8 & the f/1.4 but i figured i could get the f/1.8 and the whole diana kit for the price of just the f/1.4 so it made more sense for me to get the diana kit as well. :)

Wow, that's actually really cheap! Which eBay seller and do you know if they're compatible on all Canon's? I have an EOS 350D. I may have to do some research. I've done a little bit and there really is no significant difference between f/1.8 and f/1.4. Unless photography is a profession (or you're rich :p), I don't see the need in spending $600 for a lens.

hey, sorry for replying so late, i've been really slack with lj later (and always, haha). i got it from this seller http://shop.ebay.com.au/dctrade-uk/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

& i'm pretty sure it would be compatible with your camera. i think there are only two types of lens mount and one of them is on much older models so you should be fine, but it should say on the wikipedia for your camera if you want to check. :)

No worries at all! I'm the same way when it comes to LJ. :p

I looked on Wikipedia, but it didn't really give me the right information. I asked the eBay seller though and they said yes. It makes sense that they'd make all their lenses compatible with all the cameras, since people upgrade all the time. I made some money selling clothes on eBay, so I'm going to use it to buy the lens. :) Exciting!
