a breakfast recipe i was trying out in the thermomix - polenta pudding with raspberries and maple syrup and a crepe on the side. :)
today i made marshmallows rolled in toasted coconut and a rice bubble caramel slice thing.
my dad and decided to buy a netbook together for each of us to take away. it's only 10" and weighs just over a kilo so it's perfect for travelling.
saxx and i went to gordon markets on sunday and found this!
the guy who sold it to me was like "i remember when they first came out. i was nineteen and they were SO different from everything else at the time."
one of the book stalls which isn't usually that great was AMAZING this month so i had to buy these. and saxx got eight books! haha.
and saxx bought a viewmaster! i was going to buy it myself but he did, haha.
here are some of the slides:
my favourite, from little red riding hood.
ELLY AND I BOOKED OUR TICKETS TO LONDON! it's finally official, we're leaving on the 8th of september and arrive home again on the 9th of november. it hasn't really hit me yet because i have been dreaming about this trip for so long, i can't believe it's finally going to happen and i'll actually be there. i can't wait. my dad and i bought a netbook together so he can take it with him when he and my mum go to europe this saturday and so i can take it with me when i go. it's going to be so much more convenient having my own computer with me rather than looking around for internet cafes and wasting time and money there. and this way i can hopefully keep up to date with lj and edit and upload my photos and update as i go along instead of coming back and never updating about anything like when i went to america. there's so much to research and organise before we go though, but i know we'll work it out.
on saturday night saxx and i saw get him to the greek with elly and peter which we both enjoyed (though i don't think elly and peter did as much, haha). jonah hill is the funniest person alive so i love whatever he does, especially considering how shit and uttely unfunny almost all comedies are these days. i also got an email from penguin books about the popular penguin campaign and ordering my complimentary books from the new 75. there are a lot of good ones that i want to get but i picked the two that i have to have asap - leonard cohen's book of longing and dave egger's how we are hungry. :) oh, and i went into sportsgirl to look at that identical copy of the dress i bought last week - i got it for $15.00 and the SAME dress was in sportsgirl marked down from the original price of $130. I RULE.
