(no subject)
my family and i made scones with whipped cream in the thermomix and the six of us (my parents, my brother & taryn and saxx & i had morning tea). :)
chocolate cake i made (and i made another one last night as well, haha).
apple and cinnamon muffins.
mushroom, baby spinach and parmesan risotto. mushrooms are really gross and creepy but for some reason we had a bunch in the fridge so i decided to use them up.
an awesome dress i found at saxx's work!
probably a month and half ago when things weren't great with saxx and i he made me this little fimo holga.
and i made these little fimo baked goods. they're not great but it's hard when you only have one colour and you have to paint everything. plus it was my first try.
just messing around at night.

- i FINALLY bought myself my new blackberry bold 9700 and it is amazing! :D
- leonard cohen announced tour dates for november!!! really surprising considering he was here last year (for the first time in 24 years) and now he's back again so soon, but i'm not complaining. it was one of the best shows i have ever been to in my life and i can't wait to see him again! my mum is pretty excited about going as well, but my dad isn't sure if he wants to go again because he's worried it won't live up to last time and he doesn't want to ruin the memory.
- the leonard cohen show is on the 8th of november which means that elly and i will have to be back from europe by then, so that means we have our dates more or less figured out. we'll be leaving roughly around the 6th of september and coming back around the 6th of november. the countries we'll be visiting are england, france, spain, italy, switzerland, scotland, the netherlands, germany, norway, sweden and possibly the czech republic and belgium. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
- the weather lately has been horrible and cold and rainy. we're still in autumn and i'm already hanging out for sping. i hate winter. :(
- i downloaded and have been watching the first two seasons of daria and i'll probably download the rest of the series soon. that show RULES and i've been told on several occasions that i remind people of daria (personality wise anyway, haha).
- last weekend saxx and i did a spiderman marathon (we do quite a few marathons actually, we've done star wars twice, lord of the rings, back to the future, jurassic park and probably a bunch more). i hadn't seen the third one before and it's fun to watch a whole trilogy (or two of them in the case of star wars) all in a row and get really into the storyline and the characters and everything. plus i just love kirsten dunst, haha.
- i went to a really beautiful little art show by myself yesterday, i'll post pictures and more of a review of it in my next entry but i had a really lovely time. :)
- and on a negative note, this is going to be the worst fucking movie EVER and i'm actually so offended that they're even attempting to make a movie of my absolute favourite book ever because the energy and spirit of it is just not something that you can translate into another medium. i might sound like i'm overreacting, but i don't care. fuck everyone involved in that movie, i refuse to see it.
