so i had a pretty busy and exciting weekend. on friday night i hung out with harriet, nikki, elly & elly's friend peter at the sando, worked on saturday and went to a 21st with hannah on saturday night. after the 21st i went to nikki's to hang out with her, saxx, harriet & elly again. and then on sunday i went to some markets with saxx and then to nikki's birthday party/barbeque that afternoon. good times.
also, there have been a whole bunch of good tour announcements lately. my favourite rapper of all time, nas, is touring in october! there was a lot of drama with his last australian appearance because the first tour in 2007 was cancelled and he 'made it up' with a support slot for kanye west a year later, which isn't really equivalent to a headlining tour if you ask me. but i saw him anyway (of course) and it was utterly incredible, so not only am i really looking forward to seeing him again, i just think it's really great that he's coming back again so soon considering that it took him 14 years to get here in the first place. as well as that joshua radin is touring for the first time, also in october, which will be great. and sadly gallows cancelled their headlining tour because apparently they're doing some dates in the US instead, which sucks. but they're confirmed for soundwave festival next year and hopefully they'll do a sideshow as well. can't wait!
just some finds from the markets. i finally came across some more roald dahl books!
i absolutely adore this brooch and when i found it i went to ask the lady how much it would cost along with the other two which i knew were five dollars each, and she looked at it and said "eleven dollars for the lot" so she obviously didn't think this brooch was worth more than a dollar! beauty is clearly in the eye of the beholder because i think it's worth a lot more than that. i love it.
