so, yeah

Feel free to think of this entry as me throwing up my hands and going "Right, that's it."

As I've said many times over the course of this community's existence, I still have two major SotT stories to write before I can consider myself anywhere near 'done' and ready to publish No Static, the short story collection. I promise that I've been working on those stories, but between the major case of writer's block that I developed post-High Fidelity and my need to also move on and work on other projects, I haven't been putting down words as fast as I'd like. That being said, a fair chunk of each story already exists, and I'm tired of making you wait on them.

So! Screw it. I'm going to start posting chapters. My intent is to post one chapter of this story a month until I finish the story or implode from the pressure of not being able to finish it. I have a pretty decent backlog of chapters stashed away and, as I've discovered, I work better when people are expecting things from me.

I have the sneaking suspicion that the title of this story will give its content away nicely.

Shadow of the Templar: Cuckoo's Egg, Chapter One

(Also, dear God, allow me to pre-emptively apologize to those of you who happen to be English or Irish: my depictions of... pretty much everything will probably make you cringe and/or laugh in disbelief on multiple occasions. I've done the best I can, I promise. Making Jeremy English was, in retrospect, an act of hubris on my part.)
