Happy Hour
Recently, I hooked up with my old friend Leroy, an old Army buddy. I hadn't seen him in a couple of years, so it was good to hear from him again. Lately, I've been feeling stir crazy - I'm not able to get out much these days. So the other night, I was extremely thrilled to hit happy hour with him.
We hit Duffy's at about 5:30, and boy, did I have a blast. I've been to Duffy's a handful of times, and every time I've went it seems like the staff and regular's go out of their way to make me feel as though I'm one of them.
On Friday afternoon's, Duffy's serves pizza from American Pie. I just wish they served food on a regular basis. I honestly wasn't paying attention to the price of drinks, either. Let's just say that while we ran up a sizeable bar tab, we also got quite a bit of booze for our money.
For fun, there is a jukebox filled with your average bar fare. There are also four electronic dart machines (there was a dart tournament in progress while we were there.) Duffy's also has 3 pool tables, foosball, and a kick-ass video bowling game that is quite addictive.
Duffy's is a fine bar, one that I need to make a habit of visiting more often. Happy hour or not, I need to get in there again soon.
