Did you know Lynne? I received a pokemon from someone, however it was because that person went back home. Perhaps the same thing happened to you.

I haven't been in Johto long to really know anyone. I thought it was strange because we hadn't even made it to Cherrygrove City yet.

That's odd....I've never heard of a case like that before. Either way, it seems like the pokemon is yours now. Sorry that I don't know anymore about the situation.

That's a good way to look at it. Someone has entrusted you with their pokemon, so the best thing we can do as trainers is to take care of them.
