French Beaded Flower Pin

Apr 17, 2008 01:03

This pin features a flower in a "birds eye view style". It is made from hundreds of tiny champagne-colored seed beads which are strung and wrapped on 28-gauge wire. The center of the flower is made from a cluster of freshwater pearls. The flower is attached to a pin, which measures 1.5". The flower measures approx. 2.5" in diameter. A piece of felt has been attached to the underside of the pin to disguise the attach point of the flower. This is a beautiful hand-made piece put together with painstaking care and detail. Similar pins sell for $14 and up.

Starting bid is $5.

Amy's first attempt at French Beading happened when she decided to make small bouquets for her bridesmaids to hold throughout the ceremony at her wedding. After a few weeks of trials and tribulations, she finally got it down. They turned out so beautiful that she decided they would make a wonderful bridesmaid ‘gift’ as well. They were unique and definitely made with love. Shortly after, with the encouragement of friends, Amy branched out into making other items - pins and barrettes.
